- All settings can now be programmed from the Profile Manager user interface. You no longer have to hand-edit the FSForce.cfg file. For example, you will see the following page in Profile Manager:
To program a controller assignment, simply click in the desired cell and press the controller button or keyboard key you want to use. - Controller assignments will no longer be invalidated if you plug or unplug a controller. This will be of interest to those of you with multiple controllers. In the past, the controller assignments in the .cfg file referenced each controller by a number, in accordance with how the controllers were ordered in the USB Game controller dialog. That meant that if you plugged in a new controller, or unplugged a controller, that number might not refer to the same controller any more. Under the new system, controllers are referenced by name, not number, so it doesn't matter what order they are in.
- The first point of a force graph is no longer restricted to 0,0. That means you could conceivably have a centering force active even at zero airspeed. For example, the following graph is now possible:
This could be useful for helicopters or fly-by-wire aircraft.
