My MSFFB2 just arrived and I really got really happy. I tried the test application and DCS and i was "ohhh".

I'm hoping that MS and ASOBO will soon allow this addon to work! And work flawlessly!
In DCS, make shure your FFB axis are configured correctly. I never got trimming to work, because I didn't realize that the roll and pitch ffb axis where mixed up.
If you have it set up correctly, your expirience will completly change and suddenly the ffb makes sense.

Just a quick update to keep you in the loop. Not much has changed since I started this thread. The SimConnect API is still a work-in-progress by Asobo to get it 100% functionally equivalent to what it was in FSX. There are several key functions that are currently not working, which my add-on relies upon, and I am therefore not able to do any development work. Hopefully they will get things working soon so I can begin modifying my program to work with FS2020.
Hello Ross,
any news? The latest patch fixed the ffb for the Brunner guys, but not for the Sidewinder 2 (still nothing). Did the patch fix any of your problems?
I'm trying to keep everybody in the MSFS Forum up to date. Any news would be appreciated.
Cheers, Stephan

Yeah, Would be nice to find out if anything is fixed to support FFB.

My force feedback Gametrix Jetseat is fully working with the sim.

It works, realistic trim is possible for now, can't wait for the real force feedback package :)

I just tried SIMffb with the Sidewinder FF2 in FS2020 1.7.14, and it works like a charm!
I had to Read The F... Manual, for sure, and let go of the POV Up and POV Down buttons for actually controlling the Point Of View, since they are hardcoded to Trim Up and Trim Down.

That'll do until FS Force is updated for FS2020

I'm also desparetely waiting for fsforce to give my Sidewinder FF2 the magic back.

@funki
What exactly can I expect of SIMffb?

But there is no ffb in simFFB, right? I tried it and only got the trimming function. Did I miss something?

No, no ffb. It doesn't actually communicate with the game or anything. It only tries to simulate the trimming part.

Hi all am new here, I’ve been into sims most my life, & love realism, I have had every FFB stick there is..
I bought The G940 Hotas when I backed Elite Dangerous back in the kickStarter days...
But no FFB was applied to that sim..
I even bought & sent frontier a Fully working G940
Hotas, because they couldn’t source one...
They then gave support but not FFB..
Anyways I’ve got back into flight sims

I bought the MSFS 2020 love it...
But no FFB for the G940..
I have been looking @ the Brunner Yokes Etc...
I will be buying a FFB yoke & rudder Pedals
For this sim..
I seen on YouTube a guy playing fs2020 with a FFB base for his a10 warhog, on live stream the other day I asked if he had FFB going he said yes fully working...
Am I missing something here is there a 3rd party add on that will give us FFB in ms2020???

Thx matt

Hi Matt, as you have seen on this forum we are all waiting with anticipation for a release of FSForce. As yet still waiting on this. I've looked everywhere and this seems to be the only FFB that will be available for our devices up to now.

Hi Russ,

Don't know how things are going, but we are with you. If you do make any progress, a thought occurs to me with reference to the native FS2020 aircraft, a good many of which are lighter than we have seen in the past and I wonder if you could include a preset for microlight and ultralight aircraft, which in fairness to the sim and its own aerodynamic model, are pretty good but will need the touch of a midwife if you get things working.

Thoughts are with you!

John

I tried the XPforce plug-in. I am having problems getting it to work. It keeps erroring out...
EDIT::::
I have fixed the error problem. It was a conflict with the USB hub.
It is now working fine with both the FFB2 joystick and my motion sim.

It is cheap enough and the free trial (10min) is worth playing with.

I also tryed XPforce, make swffb2 fully working under W10 including FFB using the FFB test software, but no FFB under FS2020.
