Long fligts tests

Post by Martoni » Thu Dec 11, 2003 8:49 pm

Hello Russel,

despite some problems, I'm still test the forces and find some problem in long fligts:
after about 20, 30 min. of flight I've to reload the profile 3 times.
I'm still testing because the problem begins always after I turn off the autopilot, and I dont test without the autopilot yet.
I do not use the time compression or slew mode.

Someone have experienced this problem?

Hi Martoni

My only problem is when starting fs2004 the forces don't work about 1 flight in 10 -20.

I,ve tried a lot of flights around 1hour using the autopilot if the forces work at the start they keep working for me, not noticed this problem.

What happens when you turn off the autopilot? does the stick become loose or is there resistance?.

cheers
John

Well now....I am having some problems along the same line. Long flights
using Autopilot will crash....sometimes I get the Send Error report and
other times I just get taken back to the desktop.

I have un-installed the Cat 3.9 ATI drivers and went back to the drivers
on the Asus 9600XT CD but same problem. I updated the AGP VIA drivers
but same problem. I have now un-installed the FSGenesis mesg scenery
and will try that. After that I will unload FSForce and see what happens.

Ok....the FSGenesis screen mesh scenery looks like the culprit. :(
I un-installed the West coast screen mesh scenery and took another
shot at KLAS....it went perfectly!

Unless it was the fact it was a GSP Direct flight. I still have the Canadian
mesh and Hawaii installed so I will fly GPS direct flights without any
waypoints to CYYC and PHNL and see if I get crashes. If I do then that
really narrows it down to FSGenesis.

When I turn off the autopilot the stick just centering and have the original force, but the forces on FS are off.
But I'm still test to make sure it is the autopilot the problem.
