Hi Russ

Ok....Athlon 1.83ghz - 512meg ram - Asus A7V266 mobo - Asus 9600XT vid card 128 meg.
Unregistered version of FSUIPC loaded.

Added the line to Fs9.cfg
Frame rates set to Unlimited
Waited at least 40 seconds to take readings
Shut Fs9 down between each readings

With FSFORCE.DLL LOADED
Full Screen

LA AIR frame rate = 24.9 to 25.3
LA GRD frame rate = 24.5 to 25.1

Windowed mode

LA AIR frame rate = 39.5 to 40.3
LA GRD frame rate = 36.5 to 37.1

*******

With FSFORCE.DLL UNLOADED (removed from modules)
Full Screen

LA AIR frame rate = 36.9 to 40.9
LA GRD frame rate = 36.9 to 40.1

Windowed made

LA AIR frame rate = 38.3 to 41.1
LA GRD frame rate = 36.9 to 37.1

The biggest frame rate hit is using Full Screen mode!
Personally I can't stand Windowed mode....it just doesn't feel real! :D

Hi FaxCap

Ive noticed this as well

But I tried a flight with fs2004 starting up in fullscreen mode
With full screen 42 fps
alt enter to window mode 50 fps
alt enter again back to full screen 54 fps!

thats almost a 30% gain just for hitting alt enter twice

I repeated this several times with the same results.

Cheers

Russell,
I used the FULL SCREEN mode exclusively, and I saw very little difference on the ground vs the air. 25.6fps-31.2fps on ground; 26.5-29.5fps in air with module loaded.
27.3-29.6fps on ground; 28.2-31.6fps in air with module unloaded.

Sorry, didn't have time yesterday to do the windowed mode.
I just love the program, and can't imagine using MSFS without it.
Keep perfecting...my friend.

That's interesting! Others (myself included) are seeing a 20% drop in frame rates in fullscreen mode with FS Force in vs out. Maybe its a video card issue ... what card are you using?
