MS FF2 and PFC serial port hardware question

Post by alexdan » Mon Jun 21, 2010 12:18 am

I have very old PFC Twin Quadrant, Rudders and Yoke combination on Com1. W7 Pro 64bit, Dell XPS600 and FSX Pro.
The Yoke obviously is not FF and the lack of Trim realism in FSX - and previous versions - is a real pain. Not a Gamer: an ancient CFI, computer literate and longtime FS user.

Considering a USB MS FF2 and FS Force to replace the PFC Yoke, which is now worn mechanically. The Quadrant and Rudders are fine.

Can this be actually done?

Thanks

Alex

The MSFF2 is one of the best FF joysticks out there, and I'm sure you will really enjoy the way it works with FS Force. I think you will still be able to use the quadrant and rudders. Just go into the Settings / Controls section of FSX and disable the yoke (better yet to completely disconnect it, if that's possible), and make sure the quadrant and rudders are activated.

Thank you sir. Works like a charm. Just what I was missing in sims previously.
Now to locate or create a profile for a 52000lb Curtiss C-46.
Using FSXA, Win7 Pro 64bit, modified old Dell XPS600 3.2gb 8800GTS 8gb ram.
Thanks again.
