Assigning trim to hat switch

Post by vando99 » Fri Jul 25, 2008 7:59 pm

Gday Russ.. I am having difficulty assigning trim to the hat switch of my joystick. With version one I had no dramas, however I am unable to get it operable in version 2 (2.05).

This is what I have in my fsforce.cfg

[General]
TrimClickAmount=100
TrimIndicator=1
PauseOnTaskSwitch=0
FSXFolder=E:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\
dwStartDelay=1
JoystickTrimUp=Joystick:0:Button:31
JoystickTrimDown=Joystick:0:Button:35
KeyTrimUp=Ctrl+Shift+U
KeyTrimDown=Ctrl+Shift+D

In fsuipc the hat switch buttons are 32 and 36.

Unfortunately the ability to use the hat switch as a trim button was inadvertantly left out of FS Force 2.0, however, it's a small change to put it in. Give me a day or two.

I've just uploaded version 2.06, which includes support for using the hat switch to make trim changes. Try it out and let me know if it works. See the docs for instructions on how to edit the .cfg file.
