Not a Feature, but a Must Do Anyway....

Hi All,

Well I'm now officially a big fan of FS Force- spent the weekend finding out just how much realism and immersion this program can add to the FS experience. People who haven't tried it don't know what they're missing, and those who've dissed it on Avsim must be doing something wrong. As to price, I've paid more for add ons I hardly ever use (terrain, aircraft, whatever).

Now don't get me wrong, I love the suggestions already on the wish list. In particular I'd like to see the stall buffeting, turbulence and distinction among ground surfaces. But before those are tackled, there's one issue that I feel needs to be addressed- the Trim Indicator FPS issue that seems to be a problem for some users (including me).

Flying in Windowed mode just isn't an option for me, I feel it reduces the immersion factor more than FS Force adds to it. But flying without a trim indicator is not a good solution either.

Any chance work is underway on trying to find a solution to this top-of-my-wish list?

Best,

Joel

I plan to begin work soon on version 2.0, and fixing the trim indicator is definitely on the list. I'm hoping to implement it as a pop-up gauge, kind of like the radio stack, or gps. There are a number of disadvantages to doing it that way: the guage has to be installed into each aircraft (hopefully FS Force can handle that automatically), and the shift-[Num] will be different for each aircraft, depending on how many other pop-up guages they have. But at least the impact on FPS will be negligible.
