Engine Vibrations

HI All,
I can't seem to detect any engine vibrations. I have tried all the profiles as supplied but nothing.
Other forces are there. I am using a Iris Dynamics Yoke.I D/l the fsforce test program and this works fine.
I see there is a folder named Iris, are the contents of this supposed to be copied over if one uses a Iris yoke.
As i have not done this.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
Regards
Les

There are no engine vibrations during normal operation, except during the take-off run, but only if you have "Complex Vibs" or "Run-up vibs" selected under the Ground OPs tab of Profile Manager.

Re: the Iris subfolder: the Setup program should have already copied that in, assuming that your Iris yoke was plugged in at the time. You can check by looking in the FSForce.cfg file, at the top it should have a comment "customized for Iris Dynamics Yoke"

Hi Russ,
It does seem to work but quite differently to my other FFb yoke. Guess its just the way effects are implemented by IRIS.
Also is it normal when the plane is trimmed that there is a wide band where the yoke still able to be adjusted pitch wise and
no force is felt?. If you push far enough then the yoke returns to this area. My other yoke in FSX does not perform like this. There
is only a very little distance before resistance is felt.
Sorry for the late reply.

Les

Check your null zone settings in FSX. They generally default to values that are larger than what you would probably want.

Thanks,
The null zone is zero. So i can only assume that what i am seeing is normal. I seem to be able to be able to move the yoke and
get a climb or descent rate of about 3ooft/min before feeling any resistance.
