Joystick Test Function

Post by kiwi » Sat Oct 29, 2011 3:16 am

Hi Russell,
Just ready to purchase the FSX version, had the FS9 one which worked well.
When i try and do the test joystick function, i get no forces on my MS Sidewinder FFB stick. I did manage to get it work once and it gave a pulse like a heartbeat.
Ive since loaded a new os(win 7 Pro 64 bit) and FSX and notheing else, still
the joystick test does not work and neither does the Diaganostic program
you supply.
However the stick seems to work correctly in FSX. My question is, am i loosing any adition to FSforce by not completeing the test. What does this test do to FSforce when you complete it.
Im ready to buy again, just curious.
Thaks again for a great product.
Regards
Les Barwick

No matter which way you answer the joystick test question, it wouldn't have any observable impact on the operation. It's just that if you answer with #1, (which is what you should be getting with the MSFF2), FS Force is able to program forces more efficiently. If the ForceTest program doesn't work for you, I think your joystick is shot. Try the demo in the Seattle area and find out for yourself.
