My only thought is that using FS2004 to evaluate a FF joystick is not really going to tell you much, as the forces are generally very weak in that program.

Trim Window

I'll be putting the trim window back to the way it was. Then if you find the FPS hit unacceptable, you will just have to disable the window. In the future I think I will convert it to a guage. At first I didn't want to use a guage because I was only thinking of the main panel, and it would be totall...

Yeah, I just kind of took a guess at how I thought it would feel to fly the various aircraft. Of course it's all my own personal opinion, and people are free to modify the profiles as much as they want, or create their own. I just generally made the controls stiffer and stiffer as the aircraft got h...

That's interesting! Others (myself included) are seeing a 20% drop in frame rates in fullscreen mode with FS Force in vs out. Maybe its a video card issue ... what card are you using?

Haven't had a chance to try that joystick. Maybe some time in the future.

At this point FS Force considers the entire earth to be one big concrete runway! :)

I'm hoping to add variable terrain effects to version 2.0.

At this point it starting to look like the MSFF1 is not compatible with FS Force, however I wouldn't give up hope completely. If I could get my hands on one of those joysticks, I could possibly get it working. The other thing that I'm thinking of is to adapt a test utility that I've got and send it ...

Martoni

Another beta tester has report problems with MSFF1. Will keep you posted. Make sure you have all the latest drivers and patches for that joystick. Apparently there were some problems with that joystick when it first came out.

Hi Stan,

Open up your cfg file and look under [Profile Assignments]. One beta tester reported that he found a line with a single "=" on it, which was messing up the Profile Manager. If you find something like that, delete it and then see how it goes.

The autopilot actually uses the MS trim system. FS Force has nothing to do with that. I had thought of using a guage for the trim indicator, but that would mean the user would have to install the guage in every one of his aircraft, which would be a pain. This way it's always there no matter what the...

I'm sure it would be do-able. Just have to find a good sound clip for a typical trim sound.

Etienne The fact that you are getting forces with the virtual aircraft is a good sign. Note that the trim wheel on the aircraft control panel is NOT supposed to move when you make trim changes. FS Force completely bypasses the MSFS trim system. There is a section in my docs about that. If you haven'...

Dreaman,

Does that error happen all the time when MSFS and Profile Manager are running at the same time, or was it just once?
